David and
Diana have been friends for five years.
It was not until October 12, 1998 that they were lead into starting a
romantic relationship. This step was
taken with a great deal of prayer, pastoral and friendly counsel, and God's
grace and leading. After four months of
carefree dating they decided to pursue engagement. After a few months of negotiations (where to live, worship, what
we expect) and prayer they saw that God was leading marry.
They were engaged on May 8, 1999. Responding to a mysterious note on her car, Diana had gone to Delaware Park. David was waiting on a hill by the stairs that lead down to Hoyt Lake. He kneeled by a tree and asked this wonderful woman to marry him. The spot where they were engaged is a few yards from the Delaware Park Casino where the Wedding was held on August 15.
